How do we hire items from your site?
If there is a prop or props you would like to hire please contact us for a quote, we can then confirm availability and send you a booking form via email.
A 25% deposit is required to secure an item. The balance is to be paid 7 days prior to your big day.
Do you deliver and collect props? Yes, we can deliver the props to your chosen location or venue. Delivery made outside of our standard working area will usually be charged at £1 per mile.
We currently operate at no additional cost within the North Bucks, Northants and Beds area.
Please contact us for a quote based on your location.
Do you have a self-collection service? Yes, you can collect props from us by prior arrangement. Please contact us for more information.
Do I need to replace lost or damaged items? On booking, you will be asked for a credit/debit card number which will be used if there is any damage or loss to props hired. If you lose or damage a prop whilst in your possession you will be charged the full replacement cost of that item. A full list of these charges will be provided with your formal quotation.
What if my props are damaged before my wedding? Borrow and Bloom service the props and lighting each time they are returned from a booking. We pride ourselves in only supplying equipment in proper working order. Should we suffer any form of damage to our props prior to your function, we will endeavour to replace or repair this item in time for your event.
Do I need to clean props before return? All equipment should be returned to B&B in a reusable and working condition. We do not expect you to clean the items [you will probably have better things to do with your time, like a honeymoon!!] but do ask that items are packed away carefully in packaging provided by us to limit breakages and damage.
I would like to hire props from your site but require no other service, is that ok? Absolutely, we can deliver the props to your venue or you can arrange collection from us.
How much will the flowers cost? Our wedding flowers can be tailored to suit your budget. The cost is reflected in the type of flowers and complexity of the design.
A full quote will be supplied after an initial free no-obligation consultation.
Approximate costs are available on the flowers page of the website.
Do the cost of flowers change throughout the year? Flower costs do vary at certain times of the year. For example, prices increase around Christmas and Valentine’s Day. Flowers are generally at their most abundant and reasonably priced in the summer months. We recommend that seasonal flowers are always used to achieve the highest quality for the best price. We are happy to make suggestions for blooms based on your wedding date.
Will you set my wedding flowers up at the ceremony and reception venue? Yes. We can ensure that your floral displays are appropriately placed at your venue for maximum visual effect.
We are having some floral displays in the church but would also like to use them at the reception venue, can you help? Yes. This service offers peace of mind and is one less thing to arrange with friends or family. Charges would apply for time and additional mileage.
I have my own florist but would like to hire some containers and have your help setting up. Is that possible? Yes, we are very happy to work with other florists and are happy to provide suitable props for flower displays.
Can I take my flowers home with me? Yes, absolutely. We want you to get as much enjoyment as possible from your flowers. Please note that any props that have been hired remain the property of Borrow and Bloom and will need to be returned within the pre-agreed timescales [usually 48 hours].
If we have designed bespoke items especially for you, such as jars and centrepieces, these are yours to keep.
Will you set up my venue? We are happy to help with the set up and styling of your event. As well as setting up Borrow and Bloom props we are happy to set up your own props and flowers if you’d like.
Each wedding is individual, please contact us and we will be able to provide a full cost breakdown for styling and setup.
Who needs to confirm access with the venue? It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery and set up can go ahead and that the venue is aware of our inclusion. We are happy to work with you and your events manager.
If, for any reason, we cannot gain access to the venue then the payment is non-refundable. We also require a signature on receipt of the props either from yourself as the hirer or from venue staff.
We only want a few props and no flowers, is that possible? Absolutely! Every order whether it is small or large, just props, just flowers or a combination is very important to us and will receive the same amount of care and attention.
How much will it all cost? This all depends on how many props and flowers you require. Although we can give general prices for standard items, if you are planning to create something unique, then we will put together a bespoke quotation for you.
The details are all itemised in our quotation. To ensure that all aspects of your needs are met, we recommend a face to face no-obligation consultation is the best place to start.
How much deposit will we pay? We will require a 25% deposit to secure the date and props/flowers. Final payment is then due a week before your big day.
How much do you charge for delivery? Delivery is free within a 20 mile radius, thereafter we currently charge £1 per mile. We’ll itemise our delivery charges exactly on your quotation. If, after reading the information above you still have any questions please do contact us.
